Make Connections for Summer Quarter Employment
The virtual fair connects on-campus employers who need student employees beginning Summer Quarter 2009, with students who are seeking on-campus employment beginning Summer 2009.
Post and Review in a Convenient Electronic Environment
The Student Employment Virtual Job Fair is offered as an Internet-based, electronic service. The Virtual Job Fair format frees both the job seeker and the employer from the need to be in a physical place at a specific time.
Employers submit their job descriptions prior to the dates of the Virtual Job Fair.
Job opportunities are posted by employers for the designated time period of the Virtual Job Fair.
On-campus employers post positions with specific application instructions and a time table identifying the interview and selection process, as well as job offer target dates, training times and start dates. The selection process may include interviews by phone or on-campus.
Job seekers review these opportunities on-line during the designated time period and connect electronically with employers by submitting their application information to the supervisor email included in the job posting.
Select and Hire in a Familiar Way
The employers review the submitted applications, conduct their selection process, notify candidates, complete the appropriate hiring forms and documents with the selected student, and refer the student to Student Employment in Career Services for paperwork processing.
Students are welcome to deliver their forms during specific, defined hours for Student Employment forms processing. Forms will be accepted in Student Employment on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
As always,
- Forms must be hand-carried to Student Employment by the student for processing.
- Student employment paperwork must be submitted to Career Services by 3:30 p.m. on the Monday before time sheets are due to ensure that an electronic time sheet for the current pay period is available in WINGS Express.
