Federal Work Study Implications

Regarding the impact of the minimum wage changes on Federal Work-Study awards:

Because of limited funding for the Federal Work-Study Program, the amount of students' individual Federal Work-Study awards for the academic year will not be increased as a result of the minimum wage increases. Thus, students need to be aware that they will utilize their Work-Study awards sooner as a result of the minimum wage changes.
