Raider Recruiter Network

Career Services and Alumni Relations invite you to volunteer in the Raider Recruiter (RaidR) Network. Review the descriptions of RaidR activities on this page. You may decide to participate in one, several, or all of these activiities.

As a RaidR, you'll enjoy contact with current and prospective students. As a RaidR, you'll have the chance to share both your student and alumni experiences of Wright State University. Your input will make a difference, to the students and to your alma mater.

Personal Contact Campaigns

E-mail and phone contact campaigns to students and parents are conducted after admittance and before registration, during which time the students make the final decision of where to attend.

Your participation in an email or phone contact campaign would provide a personal touch that may be the tipping point for a prospective student to select Wright State University.

Scripts, a list of Frequently Asked Questions, and a contact list will be provided to you.

Student Referral Forms

Alumni are encouraged to continuously look for high achieving, well rounded, college bound students in their community, and then refer these students to Wright State.

Simply fill out the Refer a Student to WSU form and send it to the Office of Admissions by mail or email. Once a referral is received the student will be contacted by an admissions officer.

This activity takes place year round.

Open Houses and Receptions

Wright State holds on campus open houses for students and parents in the fall and the spring, and receptions for admitted students.

Volunteer your time during these events to meet and greet students and parents, to discuss your experience at Wright State and how it affected your life, and to share your successes after graduation.

College Fairs

You may volunteer to attend college fairs in strategic geographic locations. This activity requires training, consisting of:

  • shadowing an admissions officer at college fairs up to three times;
  • attending an official, training session co-hosted by the Office of Admissions and the Office of Alumni Relations.

College fairs allow Wright State to extend its recruitment effort across the region and the nation.
